Painted in oils, this thresher shark is depicted through a fisheye perspective that curves space and exaggerates depth. The water was built up first in layered tones to establish a rounded field of vision and descending light. The shark was then developed through gradual shifts in value, with softened edges and restrained detail allowing the body and elongated tail to recede and stretch into space through lens distortion rather than anatomy alone. Final glazes unified the composition, maintaining a focus on immersion, scale, and quiet presence.
