The great white shark (Carcharodon carcharias) is one of the ocean’s most refined predators, unchanged in its core design for millions of years. Its body is built for efficiency rather than speed bursts—broad, muscular, and hydrodynamic, designed for controlled power. The teeth are continually replaced throughout its life, ensuring they remain sharp and functional. Despite its reputation, it conserves energy carefully, often moving slowly and deliberately until the moment action is necessary.
 
The shark was completed first, with all form and detail in place. Black was then layered over it to remove rather than add, allowing the subject to emerge only where light remains. This was a exciting piece to get to life
