'Pride of the Plains'

20 x 30 inches, oils on canvas

There’s something about lions that has always fascinated me — their strength doesn’t shout, it simply exists. In this piece, I wanted to capture that quiet confidence, that calm authority that speaks louder than any roar. The upward gaze carries a sense of awareness, as if he’s looking toward something beyond what we see. Each brushstroke of amber, scarlett lake, oranges. gold, and deep sienna was meant to show both warmth and depth — a reflection of balance.
There’s strength in his stillness, a reminder that power often lies in patience, not action.
While painting, I felt the canvas fill with a sense of calm energy, something warm yet dignified.
The light across his mane reminds me of the first rays of morning, soft but full of promise.
It’s the kind of light that doesn’t dominate — it reveals, gently and confidently.
This piece, to me, became more than a lion — it became a state of being.
It represents focus, serenity, and the quiet kind of courage that grows from within.
Every time I look at it, I’m reminded that true majesty is silent, but never unnoticed.

The painting comes stretched and ready to hang. Feel free to reach out to me for any queries.
