'Gargantua: Edge of Light'
24 x 36 inches, oils on canvas
Gargantua: Edge of Light draws inspiration from the awe-inspiring black hole Gargantua from Interstellar. Capturing the violent beauty of warped light bending around an immense gravitational force, where space itself appears stretched and distorted. Streams of glowing white and gold cut through the darkness like collapsing stars, creating a sense of motion, scale, and cosmic tension.
The vast black void surrounding the light evokes both mystery and isolation, reflecting humanity’s fascination with the unknown reaches of the universe. Much like the film, the piece explores the thin boundary between science and wonder, a place where time, gravity, and light no longer behave as we understand them.
Do not go gentle into that good night,
Old age should burn and rave at close of day;
Rage, rage against the dying of the light...
This painting comes stretched and ready to hang.
