First Breath tells the story of an orca moving quietly through the open sea, rising to the surface after a long journey beneath the water. For a brief moment, it breaks the stillness with a deep breath, sending a soft spray of water into the air. It pauses at the surface before taking another look at the world above, then slowly disappears back into the depths, leaving the sea calm once again.
 
This painting is stretched and ready to hang.
