The composition captures a quiet moment beneath the surface, where silence, movement, and presence define the ocean’s true intensity. This one came together very intuitively. Started with loose blues to block in the water and let the movement lead the way. The shark took shape naturally through the brushstrokes, with the curve of the body guiding the whole composition. Light was built up slowly, keeping the lower areas deeper and heavier to give that sense of sinking into the ocean. It’s about flow, calm movement, and that quiet power you feel underwater.
