This painting captures one of those fleeting moments beneath the surface, where movement and stillness seem to meet. I wanted to move away from a purely realistic interpretation and instead let the orca emerge through expressive strokes of deep blues, violets, turquoise and touches of oranges and gold, allowing the colours to become part of the orca itself.
This painting is stretched and ready to hang.
