Held in a moment of suspension, the form drifts just beneath the surface, where pressure still rules and light has not yet claimed its ground. The water is dense here, layered with shadow and motion, carrying the weight of the deep while hinting at release above. Suspended in the upper deep, the orca rests in a narrow margin of calm. The sea grows lighter but not yet generous, holding its shape, holding its silence.
Nothing breaks. Nothing rushes. The ocean and the orca share a pause before the rise begins.
