"A Whale's reflection"
20 x 30 inches, oils on stretched canvas
Creating 'A Whale’s Reflection,' allowed me to push the boundaries of how I usually depict aquatic life. The reflective finish brings a sense of otherworldliness to the piece, highlighting the whale’s commanding presence. This painting captures the awe-inspiring grandeur of humpbacks while inviting viewers to ponder their symbolic and natural significance. Each humpback whale has unique patterns on the underside of its tail flukes, much like a human fingerprint. Researchers use these markings to identify individuals. Their pectoral fins are the longest of any whale species, reaching up to 16 feet (5 meters). The name "humpback" comes from the way they arch their back when diving.
Creating art each day for the love of our marine world, capturing its beauty and resilience to inspire connection and care for the oceans that sustain us all.
Stretched and ready to hang. Free worldwide shipping.
